Exclusive: Britney Spears "...Baby One More Time" Picture Disc Vinyl Out This Week

The surprise release marks the 1999 classic LP’s third vinyl pressing in 12 months’ time. You heard it first on @DerekPlease social media.

Britney Spears will be releasing her debut album ...Baby One More Time on picture disc vinyl this week. This comes after two sought-after Urban Outfitters-exclusive pressings; the 2017 original pressing on 1,500 pink-and-white-swirl LPs, and this month’s clear pressing of over 10,000 copies.

The new Amazon picture disc vinyl listing is secretive, without her name, and only a fragment of the title. It seems as though it is intentionally hidden from relevant search results, as I only found it by chance about 40 pages deep in a “coming soon” vinyl search.

The record label is listed as Sony Legacy, the branch of Sony Music Entertainment that re-releases catalog content from Sony labels like Jive Records, RCA Records, and Epic Records. Legacy pressed the previous two …Baby One More Time vinyl releases, too.

Could this be related to her “big announcement” coming this Thursday, October 18? Britney fans on my Twitter are speculating this, since the Amazon-listed date of October 16 is suspiciously close. Spears recently dropped by The Ellen DeGeneres Show to announce the upcoming announcement, which has a bit of an Inception-style logic to it.

Later this month will mark the “…Baby One More Time” single’s 20th anniversary. Who knows — perhaps this is just the tip of the iceberg, with a full celebration collection about to be announced!

Note that this picture disc LP is not available for pre-order at this time, but may pop up on Amazon and physical retail stores this week if the October 16 release date is to be believed. New vinyl releases usually drop on Fridays, though, so the 19th is another possible real world date. Of course there is the possibility of a delay as well, considering many vinyl pressings experience months of manufacturing slowdowns and changed release dates.

Update 10/17/2018

The release date has been confirmed as November 23, and the pre-order is now live on Amazon with free Prime shipping enabled. Local record stores are reporting they are getting more information this Friday, so this is a true wide release, unlike the previous exclusive pressings.

Beauty Kitchen June 2018 VIP Beauty Box Review

The all-natural, Malibu-themed beauty box celebrates brand owner Heather Marianna's birthday.

The June VIP Beauty Box from Beauty Kitchen is Malibu-themed. This is fitting, as CEO Heather Marianna is having her birthday party in Malibu, CA! So excited for that.

Titled "Make Some Waves," this all-natural, jam-packed box is her best-smelling one yet. It features giant 8 oz sizes of her Skin Polish and Moisturizing Mist; plus fun, customer-fave products like her Lip Scrub, Eye Gels, Lip Balm, exclusive Bath Bomb and bonus Lotion!

8 oz Exotic Coconut Skin Polish

IMG_5764.JPG

For your face, and that bass! Smooth skin is a summer essential, and Beauty Kitchen's hero product Skin Polish is back with a new scent, Exotic Coconut. This finely-milled sugar scrub does not tear at the skin like competitor brands' products.

This is something you should use before anything else in the box. I love to bring a little tubaware full of this into my shower and use it all over my body. It gets rid of all the dirt that's been locked in your skin. Your facial skincare and makeup sink in better. Body lotion, too.

8 oz Cactus Water and Aloe Moisturizing Mist

The picture doesn't really do this moisturizing mist justice - it's huge. Like, huuuuge. That's great, because I utilize it for so much around my house. Since it's all natural, I feel comfortable using it to refresh my clothing, fabrics, or furniture. I use it all over my body, of course, including my hair. It's gentle enough where if some gets on your face, it won't burn - and you won't be rushing to the sink.

As we learn more and more about the toxic ingredients in those body mist stores' mists, it becomes harder and harder to justify using those overrated brands. For woke shoppers like us, this Beauty Kitchen alternative is better and more affordable.

The scent reminds me of a famous clothing store's cologne that was super popular in the late '00s. Think surfer vibes.

Strawberry Daiquiri Sugar Lip Scrub

When Heather Marianna told me she added aloe to her lip scrubs after I suggested it, I was honored. This is a testament to what a community brand this is. Everyone's feedback is taken into account!

The result was this rather lavish and delicious lip scrub that leaves your lips so moisturized, lip balm is optional. Aloe is known for soothing skin after sun exposure, so this is perfect after a long day in the sun, when your lips are feeling tender.

The sugar crystals in this are even more finely-milled than the Skin Polish, for your delicate lip skin in mind. Plus those crystals are surrounded in an aloe base, so it's too gentle to cause any irritation.

Coconut Eye Gels

IMG_5763.JPG

If you follow my Instagram, you know I use Beauty Kitchen eye gels all the time. They're the O.G. eye gels. If you see celebrities wearing eye gels, it's either the real thing from Beauty Kitchen, or an imitator. Large brands are even taking note and releasing single-use, chemically-laden pairs for as high as $10 or $20.

Beauty Kitchen's start around $3 and are thicker, juicier and all natural. Plus subscribers always get to try the latest varieties.

Lip Balm

IMG_5766.JPG

This is not one of those drugstore lip balms that dries your lips out; you don't have to apply it all day, and it isn't $5 per tube. Beauty Kitchen's lip balm has a simple citrus flavor, and is packed with SPF 15 to protect your lips from the sun.

Perfect for use after the included Lip Scrub, I love this because years ago I was taught that the skin on the lips is the thinnest on the face. As in the most prone to sun damage! So pucker up, and put this on. You'll thank me when you're 90.

Champagne Bathbomb

IMG_5759.JPG

Can you say "elegant"? Visually the stand out item of the "Make Some Waves" box, this bath bomb is formed in the shape of a champagne bottle, in celebration of Heather Marianna's birthday.

I've used Beauty Kitchen bath bombs before and they always deliver a more luxurious experience than those mass-produced ones from your local shopping mall. After you drop them in the water, Beauty Kitchen bath bombs slowly sizzle until your bathwater is packed with natural moisturizing oils and brilliant color.

Of course, you can display them in your bathroom, like I'm doing with this one. I still have the Grinch one from Holiday 2017 and plan to keep it as a Christmas ornament!

Bonus Let Them Eat Cake Lotion

IMG_5765.JPG

Though it's last on the list, this Cake Lotion was the item I had to try first. It could not smell better. It's a classic "birthday cake" fragrance done in the best possible way; not too sweet, not too overpowering. Multidimensional, so you smell different notes upon each sniff. The scent is more than a little sexy, too.

Of course the scent is only half the experience. Lotions need to moisturize too, and this does beautifully with natural moisturizing factors. You can't always "have your cake and eat it too," but you can moisturize with it instead! Not literally, though... of course there's no actual cake in this! That would be a sticky mess, and this lotion formula dries a divine, velvet matte.

Full Gallery & Tea: Britney Spears' New KENZO Campaign

Her "Secret Project" has finally been officially announced and fully revealed.

Plus, an exclusive VOGUE Magazine interview features Britney's candid thoughts on her past and current fashion sense.

Britney Spears has always been a fashion icon - to Millennials. Even when Baby Boomer media ridiculed her fashion "mistakes," her fans celebrated them as instantly iconic milestones. Now everyone is on board, thanks to her new campaign with Paris fashion house Kenzo, shot by renowned photographer Peter Lindbergh

Remember that "Secret Project" I theorized about a while back? Turns out it was this fashion campaign.

Even Vogue Magazine wanted more tea, and landed an exclusive interview with the Princess of Pop "Just Yesterday." In it, Britney describes her fashion sense throughout her life, pop career, and experience with motherhood.

You can read the whole interview here, but these are my favorite revelations:

1. Ms. Spears thinks '80s fashion was "ugly." But is she wrong?

2. Vogue, of course, has the perfect one-sentence encapsulation of "Momney" style:

The days of schoolgirl miniskirts and red vinyl catsuits are far behind her, and she tends to gravitate toward more practical, bohemian-inspired clothing, mostly in a palette of soft ivory and white.
— Brooke Bobb for Vogue Magazine

3. Her sons' untamed fashion sense is inspiring her to make daring choices again.

4. Even Vogue Magazine appreciates her popular Instagram runway videos.

5. She mostly wears nightgowns at home - but we been knew. How very "The Intimate Britney Spears" of her.

Vinyl: Britney Spears "...Baby One More Time" Inside Urban Outfitters Stores

"They want more? Well I'll give them more" - Britney Spears

Friend of the blog @KevinMichaelT  submitted this photo.

Friend of the blog @KevinMichaelT submitted this photo.

Being the generous Princess of Pop that she is, Britney Spears is bringing "...Baby" back! Late last summer, pre-orders for the prized Limited Edition vinyl release of her iconic debut album "...Baby One More Time" sold out twice.

The demand was unprecedented and Urban Outfitters mostly remained silent despite thousands of fans begging for more. Traditional media outlets even covered the frenzy.

November 1, 2017, I was one of the first customers to receive the LP, having ordered with rush shipping. Fans such as myself experienced a lot of heat for being one of the lucky few to secure a copy at face value.

That was understandable, as it came to light that literally hundreds - if not thousands - of the 2500 were purchased by eBay scalpers. A single listing on eBay currently states over 100 copies have been sold for $99+. Crazy!

A "Sold Out" placeholder page for the album sat on Urban Outfitters website for months until just recently disappearing.

Today, friend of the blog @KevinMichaelT found three copies under the "S" tab in a Toronto location. The photo above depicts the "Glory"-ous scene. When he said "you should have seen me run for it," I could literally see it in my head, because... same. He bought all three, and is shipping one to another fan - what a sweetheart!

Personally, I see this as Urban Outfitters leveling tilting the odds of getting a copy in favor of the fans. Another online listing (though possible) would definitely attract scalpers, but an in-store sale is lower profile and more likely to get into real collectors' hands.

Our local Urban Outfitters does not have the coveted LP in stock yet, so this expanded release is likely still in its rollout stage. Stay tuned on Twitter for updates!

UPDATE #1 - 3/7/2018 7pm CT - @LuisKrayenhagen confirms to DerekPlease that Urban Outfitters in Seattle, WA has also had the vinyl in stock recently.
