I chatted with Rosé about her new music, tour and RuPaul’s Drag Race!

Hi Rosé! How are you doing?

I’m fucking fab!  I just made it to the Top 4 of RuPaul’s Drag Race, and now I’m on tour performing my new music!

What has the outpouring of fan support been like?

It is overwhelming — in the best possible way. I’m thrilled so many people connect with  who I am and support what I do. It’s so rad.

The secret’s out! You’re on the Drive ’N Drag Tour with Gottmik. What are you most excited to do on it?

Yeah! I’m so pumped. I’m a showgirl who hasn’t really been onstage in over a YEAR! I’m excited to perform for a live audience.

Let’s talk about your new single, “The Devil in the Details.”

“The Devil in the Details” is an ‘80s synth pop throwback with a liberating twist. It’s the first music I’ve ever written and it reflects my journey over the last year via RuPaul’s Drag Race.

How does your need for perfectionism impact your drag? Do you spend more time than most making sure everything is just right?

I just like things to be finished! If all the elements of my look or performance are taken care of and truly fool-proof, I feel so much more able to let go and leave it all onstage.

You’re also on the Werq the World 2022 world tour, which includes meet and greets! Are you excited to meet your fans face to face?

I am! Even now on the Drive ’N Drag tour, I like to poke my head out from behind the trailers after the show to blow kisses and show appreciation for the audience’s support.

What will fans be most surprised to learn when they see you in person?

Definitely my height. I’m only 4’5”.

Do you have any advice for the future season 14 competitors?

Do everything you can to make it to the end. This shit is hard, but do. Not. Give. Up.
