Hey, guys! I received a lot of great feedback on my Spring 2015 Playlist post, so I’m back with the first summer installment. Le'go!
1. Father (Mood Melodies Mix) by Tooji
The original song is really unique and sensual, but the remix turns it into an unstoppable dance pop anthem. Amazing workout track!
2. Ecstasy by Courtney Act
Courtney is one of my favorite drag queens from season six of RuPaul's Drag Race, and her new song is really legit. Perfect for summer.
3. Sparks by Hilary Duff
I've always been a huge Hilary Duff fan, but I was a little... super hella annoyed... when she came back doing... folk-pop music... last year. Thankfully she returned to her dance pop sound, and gave us one of the catchiest singles of the year so far! Can't wait for her new album.
4. Untangled Love by Brandon Flowers
This isn't the first Brandon Flowers song I've featured from his new album he Desired Effect, because the album is pretty great. This is probably the most summer-sounding song on the LP, and I've been loving it.
5. Lemonade by Danity Kane
A great summer anthem about ignoring your haters. Plus, the bass is insane!
6. Evil in the Night by Adam Lambert
While it's not quite as good as anything on his fan-tas-tic second album respassing, "Evil in the Night" is a solid pop song and a great showcase of his dramatic, theatrical vocal chops.
7. Bombastic by Bonnie McKee
Beware, the video is... interesting... but the song is really big, poppy, brash, and summery. Everything Bonnie McKee represents as an artist and songwriter!
